Social Advertising
| It turns out that Social Advertising is just like the early days of Search Engine Marketing (SEM or Paid Search). Lots of people out there will tell you that they know how to do this better than anyone else.
We prefer to let our results speak for themselves. Here are a few case studies that illustrate our approach and results from Social Advertising campaigns. |

Case #1:
When an international luxury hospitality brand launched its new brand campaign in the middle of 2010, we were selected to help them build a fanbase that mirrored their actual customer base. Smart. Because this luxury brand didn’t just want a large fanbase, they wanted a fanbase made up of both their actual customers and those who could afford to become their customers. Over a 4-month period we did exactly that. Through the right targeting in social advertisements, we helped them build up the largest corporate fanbase in hospitality that actually reflected their customer demographics. At the same time, we trained their team on how to engage in social media. Today – they’re still #1 in fanbase size in hospitality, and are receiving not just great buzz, but also great responses to offers in social media. |

Case #2:
For a young independent design resort in SE Asia, we were tasked with boosting their occupancy. The tourism industry in this hotel’s country has been particularly challenging for the past several years as political unrest and natural events have dampened travel demand. However, this client’s specific city were largely unaffected and so the hotel faced the challenge of communicating this to the right customers. Like many luxury properties, the client also faced the challenge of securing customer recognition of its product quality.
Brand Karma partnered with this hotel to use the social media about its property to increase occupancy and ultimately raise rates. Starting with the resort’s Brand Karma Analytics data, our team worked closely with the property’s marketing team to identify key property attributes and matched these to specific traveler personas. We then collaborated on an intelligent social advertising campaign to put the right offer in front of the right consumers: those who recognized the value of the hotel’s product and service levels and were comfortable with travel . The campaign we ran yielded a 20 times ROI on room revenue alone. Furthermore, for every $1 USD these guests spent on rooms, they spent an additional $0.75 on resort services (spa, food, etc.). It was the most successful campaign this resort had ever run – and we got a lot more business from their friends in other resorts afterwards. |

Case #3:
A new airport hotel that was a part of a large international hotel company wanted to sell rooms as part of a regional sale being pushed by the chain over a 72-hour period. Unfortunately, the hotel was the first of its brand in that specific country so the brand recognition for the chain was not very high. Not being in the city, its location was also not ideal. We helped the hotel identify and target new guests on social media channels with specific profiles and increased bookings. Our campaign produced more room nights from new guests than from the chain’s existing loyal customers who had an early preview of the offer. The social advertising campaign gave the hotel 16 times ROI on booking revenue alone in the 72-hour period, as well as generated over 3 million impressions to the right target customers to increase brand awareness for future consideration. |
